About the venue

The Albury Entertainment Centre is set in the hub of Albury's cultural precinct, overlooking the picturesque QEII Square and is located within easy walking distance to retail shopping, restaurants, entertainment and accommodation.

Since Glennis Carter took centre stage on May 22 1964 and played her first note on the Bechstien 9’ Concert Grand Piano, the theatre has become the heart of Albury’s live theatre experience.

Of course back in those days the theatre was known as the War Memorial Civic Theatre. And over the decades it’s also been known as the Albury Performing Arts Centre. The many names given to this place are a testament to its rich history and the many varying experiences it offers our audiences.
